In the Backstage of the Spirit of 78 Triathlon

The Spirit of 78 Triathlon could never have taken place without all the people behind the event, all those who voluntarily were present before it happened, in all the planning, and all those who dedicate part of their time during the day so that nothing fails.

They are primarily responsible for the experience that athletes have had and may have.

The Mentors

The team of volunteers, which during the year, is responsible for putting the machine to work, from those who had the initial idea to those who help to put it into practice.

Rui Pena

One of the Spirit of 78 Triathlon mentors. He participated as an athlete in the first 4 editions.

Paulo Costa

One of the Spirit of 78 Triathlon's mentors. He participated as an athlete in all editions.

Nuno Abreu

Present since the first edition, it has been a fundamental piece for everything to work without major mishaps.

José Rodrigues

Initially it was voluntary, having assumed a more important role from the third edition.

Hugo Brito

I was there when the idea came up. He has accumulated the functions of "event director" and responsible for timing.

Cristina Carvalho

A spectator in the third edition, she was part of the team in the last two editions, being currently a fundamental part.

Tiago Barbosa

One of the most committed volunteers from the very beginning, he was a key player in the first 3 editions.

Nuno Maia

Athlete in two editions, he is currently one of the most committed people, he is part of the team that idealized and set up the Spirit Xtreme Triathlon.

António Gavina

One of the pioneers of the first edition, he is responsible for the logistics of the vessels in the water.

Pedro Pereira

He took over the "Event Direction" and timing in the first 3 editions, together with Hugo Brito.

Eduardo Pinto

Present in water safety from the beginning, it took over the coordination of vessels in the last 2 editions.

Miguel Vieira

Athlete in the first 2 editions, he was present in logistics and transport in the last 3 years.

Afonso Pereira

Despite his young age, he has helped in animation and in recent years with the timing.

Paulo Marques

Athlete with several participations in the Spirit of 78 Triathlon, he is part of the team that idealized and set up the Spirit Xtreme Triathlon.

The Volunteers

Without volunteers the event cannot take place. They are, along with the athletes, the fundamental piece for everything to work. From transporting athletes to the start, providing support for safety in the water, helping with the transitions, to handing over trophies to the best ones crossing the finish line. It is to the volunteers that all those who are organizing the event and all the athletes have to thank.

All help is welcome. The day of the event is long and if everyone gives a helping hand by providing some time for that day, it becomes easier for everyone.

The Photographers

If it weren't for the photographers who have been present on the Spirit of 78 Triathlon, the memories would only be registered among those who were involved and would tend to fade with time. The presence of photogtafos allows the images of the event to reach all those who were unable to attend and perpetuate the memory of all those who were there.
